I love creating new worksheets for the blog. I had started making my own fun worksheets for my kiddos when I homeschooled. Then, in 2020 (yes, that 2020) I started sharing them on the blog. Even though I don’t homeschool anymore, anytime I get an idea for a bundle of worksheets I can’t wait to share them with you! Did you know that National Space Day is celebrated on the first Friday of May? Since I’ve been wanting to make some space themed worksheets for awhile now, I figured it was the perfect time to make it happen! Trust me when I say, I am out of this world excited to get these crossed off my “worksheets to make” list!
what kind of space worksheets are included?
For a topic like space there are so many worksheets I could have created, but I had to control myself. I ended up making five free space worksheets downloads for you. All these worksheets are appropriate for younger elementary school students. These are probably best to reinforce concepts being taught, rather than to introduce new ideas. As always, I hesitate to make specific grades because all students learn at different paces. You know your student or kiddo best!

One of the worksheets I loved making was one to help teach the order of the planets. It has a helpful mnemonic device that will help students remember the correct order. There’s also some fun easy math worksheets–color by number and a pattern practice page. For ELA work I have an alphabet maze for kids to spell out “solar system”, as well as a crossword with facts about each planet.
