I’ve talked before about how I’m a big advocate for not relying on screen time while traveling with kids. Don’t get me wrong–we’re not anti-screens. However, I feel like parents today lean too heavily on screen time to keep our kids busy and quiet. As a result, we end up really doing a disservice to our children. These travel worksheets are best suited for younger elementary aged kids. Although, if your kids are anything like mine all ages will probably like the maze! There are four pages total that will incorporate math and ELA in a fun way for your little learners. These are great to take along on family road trips or to incorporate into a transportation study unit. They’re also handy to have around if you have a sick kid home from school who has been watching too much tv. It’s okay–we’ve all been there.

You can have fun getting creative with these pages too! Consider pulling out paint for the train patterns page instead of just crayons. Take the road trip maze to a print shop and have them print it up on larger paper so you kids can drive their toy cars through the maze. Have your little ones practice their cutting skills by cutting out the transportation on the travel match up page and glue them on the correct spots.
