Last summer our family went on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest. And since we had no idea what would be happening with the school year, I decided to proceed as if we were homeschooling again. So I started our school year right before we left and made sure to plan a fun volcano unit to take with us! After all, we’d be seeing some of the most impressive volcanos on the west coast! Today I want to share those worksheet and that lesson plan with you, I hope you enjoy! And make sure you check out the end for a fun giveaway!

One of my favorite things about homeschooling (and the thing I miss the most!) is being able to take our learning on the road. Field trips were my jam! Exploring National Parks last summer while teaching my little ones all about volcanoes was definitely a highlight in our homeschool journey. It was so fun to get outside, learn, and discover things together.
This Volcano Unit is perfect to print up and take along on an adventure with you to supplement other learning! I’ve even suggested some fun National Parks that feature volcanoes that would be perfect to explore during this unit. You’ll find some worksheets and book suggestions that are more suitable for younger learners, and some that would be better for older children.
