We just got back from our annual summer road trip and one of our stops was the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. On this visit we were able to stay at the Cambria Suites Anaheim and I’m so excited to share this review with you! We loved everything about it and would definitely recommend to any family planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. This article is in partnership with Cambria Hotel and Suites Anaheim Resort Area, all opinions are completely my own.

Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort Area review

We loved our four days at the Cambria Hotel & Suites in Anaheim. They are a Disneyland Good Neighbor hotel and it’s easy to see why. From the convenience of being able to purchase theme park tickets directly from them (remember that reservations are still required in addition to tickets) to the fun Disney souvenirs in the lobby Market we loved the Disney touches. Our room even had a great view of the fireworks from the park!

proximity to attractions

Although this hotel is very conveniently located to many restaurants and the freeway, it is not the closest to Disneyland. Our family walked each day except for one day when we took the Toy Story parking lot shuttle from the park back to the hotel. Taking the Toy Story parking lot shuttle will save you a little walking, but if you have to collapse a stroller like we do it might not be worth it.

family-friendly amenities

The star of the Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort Area is definitely the outdoor amenities. In fact, we cut two of our Disney days short just so we could play at the hotel! The waterpark features two waterslides and splash pad area. There is also a main pool, oversized hot tub, and shallow entry kiddie pool. In addition to the amazing outdoor area there is a putting green, half court basketball, and ping pong.

Don’t miss this: This Cambria Suites Anaheim review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the outdoor movies. Every night a different family movie plays poolside. We caught two of them during our stay and my kids loved it!

room details

The rooms at the Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort Area are absolutely perfect for families. It can be challenging to find rooms that fit us well and the Cambria really delivered! We were in 1 King Family Suite. This room has a King bed, twin bunk bed with a trundle bed, and a pull out sofa. Our suite also had a kitchenette which was handy for preparing our lunches and snacks for the park days. There was even a full-sized refrigerator and freezer! Note that there are no dishes or utensils provided so be sure to bring paper goods.

Don’t miss this: Need to do laundry during your stay? We sure did! The Cambria offers not one, but TWO laundry rooms for guests that are open 24 hours. Save a little money by bringing your own detergent and dryer balls.

other things to mention

We loved how spacious this hotel was. Unlike some of the other, older hotels near Disneyland there is plenty of parking at the Cambria Hotel & Suites. Both at ground level as well as secure underground parking with a security guard. The breakfast room is also quite large with plenty of seating to enjoy your Mickey waffles or other hot and cold breakfast options. They even have gluten free options available.
