In February our family spent four days at the Happiest Place on Earth–aka. Disneyland. For this visit to the parks we stayed just about as close to the Disneyland Esplanade as you can. Keep reading for our Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance review.

Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance review

Our family loved everything about the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance and I can’t wait to share it with you! As a Disneyland Good Neighbor hotel there are fun souvenirs in the lobby and a view of the fireworks that can’t be beat! We were so impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

proximity to attractions

One of the best things about this hotel is definitely the location. We were only a five minute walk from the Disneyland security check which helped us make it to rope drop each morning! Between your hotel and the parks you’ll also find a handful of eateries if you want to dine outside the parks.

family-friendly amenities

There were little Disney touches in the lobby at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance that were so special. For example, my kids also loved the Disney movies playing in the lobby throughout our stay. And when we experienced a rainy day we were able to go buy Mickey ponchos in the gift shop! Of course, my review of the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance would not be complete without mentioning the pool area which boasts a pool, splash area, waterslides, and hot tub.

Don’t miss this: Make sure to check out the Surfside Waterpark! There are time slots throughout the day and you must have a reservation to enjoy it so they can control crowds. We reserved an afternoon one day for a break from the parks, then we reserved an evening for firework viewing another day.

room details

One of the biggest reasons we wanted to stay at this hotel was because of the rooms. Our room had two Queen beds and a twin bunk bed which meant our family had plenty of space. It was the perfect layout for our family! Not only did we have plenty of room to sleep, but we had plenty of room to bathe. The bathrooms at this Courtyard Anaheim hotel feature a separate tub and shower area. This was nice so that at the end of the day we could wash kids up quickly. I also appreciated all the storage for our clothes and toiletries, as well as the large space near the door to park our stroller.

Don’t miss this: There are extra USB plugs in the side of the nightstands which we missed seeing until our second day. That means there are plenty of spots to charge your devices!

other things to mention

The lobby area of the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is very spacious and includes The Bistro, where you can grab a quick bite to eat on your way to the parks. There’s also The Market for any last minute souvenirs or snacks you might need. Don’t miss the firepit that’s outside behind The Bistro too, we didn’t discover it until our second to last day!
