I am so excited to kick off a blog series I’ll be doing this year with my Viv Hotel Anaheim review. We have some Disney trips planned during 2022 and my goal is to try out as many hotels in the area as possible. I tend to stick to my favorite hotels over and over when we travel, but I really want to give you options for hotels near Disneyland. I had such a great experience at this hotel on our recent trip and I can’t wait to share all the details with you! The Viv was formerly known as the Radisson Blu Anaheim. This article was in partnership with Radisson Blu Anaheim, all opinions are completely my own.

The Viv Hotel Anaheim review

The Viv Hotel is considered a Disney “Good Neighbor” hotel and you’ll soon find out why! This is just a reminder that although we stayed at the Viv Hotel Anaheim during our Magical Media Retreat, I’ll be focusing on the hotel from a family travel standpoint. I plan to keep this format the same for all our Anaheim hotel stays in 2022 so you can easily compare accommodations. I will say that I was impressed with this hotel from lobby to guest rooms and everything in between. Everything was beautiful and clean and the views of the Disney parks was phenomenal. I could even see the lights projected on the buildings of Main Street from my 10th floor room!

proximity to attractions

Viv Hotel Anaheim works with ART to offer guests easy transportation to many Anaheim Resort area attractions. You can easily download the free A-Way WeGo app to schedule your desired times and locations to ride for a reasonable fee!

  • SNA (Orange County Airport): 12 miles

family-friendly amenities

Viv Hotel Anaheim features a family pool on the ground level with cabanas and a splash pad. I know this is where my kids would want to spend all their time. The pool area also features a hot tub and a fireplace for those chilly nights. Note that there is also an adult-only pool and hot tub on the 12th floor with a wonderful view! I also appreciated the the lobby was spacious enough and had plenty of seating for people to wait while checking in. I like when I don’t feel like our large family is taking up too much space in a public area. If you forgot anything at home or your kiddos want one last souvenir, you can check out Main Street Mercantile in the lobby.

Don’t miss this: The splash pad lights up different colors as the sun starts to set!

room details

During my recent stay I stayed in a 2 Queen Bunk Bed room with a Disneyland firework view. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were spacious even for a family of my size. There were plenty of complimentary amenities, including a deep-sleep pillow spray and toothbrush kit. It was nice to know if I’d forgotten anything I would have been just fine! My room also featured a mini fridge and coffee maker. This hotel offers room sizes and types for every size group!

Don’t miss this: Make sure to charge all your electronics before heading the the parks with the great USB chargers built-in to the headboards!

other things to mention

I want to mention in this Viv Hotel Anaheim review that there are lots of fun touches around the hotel that you and your kids will love. From Storm Troopers in the hallway to a giant Lite-Brite installation near the elevators there are so many special details! The fun extras continue in the guest room hallways with giant, colorful murals. In the guest rooms you’ll find fun wallpaper and even a wall sculpture/towel rack in the bathroom!

Viv Hotel Anaheim has two on-site restaurants. FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar is on the ground level near the pool and BluSky Restaurant & Bar is on the rooftop with gorgeous views. Blu Marketplace is also located in the lobby and in open in the mornings to grab a quick snack on your way to the parks. You’re also located near several restaurants, including the Downtown Disney District and all of its offerings!
