You probably saw all the Christmas-themed friendship bracelet decor a month ago? It seemed like every other account on social media was fully embracing the nostalgia of the beaded bracelets. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good throwback craft as much as the next gal, but I just couldn’t jump on the wagon for Christmas. But for Valentine’s Day?? I mean, what better holiday than that to fill with all the friendship bracelet decor we can find?! This friendship bracelet garland might not be the fanciest on the internet. However, I can pretty much guarantee it’s the least expensive as I found everything at the dollar store! Keep reading for the simple tutorial. This isn’t the first time I’ve used pool noodles for some inexpensive decor. I also made a colorful garland a few years ago that we still use for pool parties today! I even made some popsicle party decor out of dollar store foam kickboards once. They’re a great and inexpensive way to get your craft on! Plus, they’re waterproof so they’re perfect for outdoor decorations!

How to make a giant friendship bracelet out of foam pool noodles.

You can find all of these materials at the dollar store. But if you don’t have a store location near you, or you’re having trouble locating them, I’ve also included Amazon links to everything!

I chose to write on my round foam board “beads” because my dollar store didn’t have any black letter stickers when I went and I wanted to make sure I sourced all my materials from there. However, I know I’ve seen them there before! This DIY friendship bracelet garland was as simple as slicing the pool noodles to two inch sections, tracing out round foam board “beads”, and stringing everything together.

You can string up the pool noodle “beads” in any pattern you’d like, and play around with what you want the letter beads to say! I think this DIY project is the perfect Valentine’s Day naptime craft and holiday decor.
