Our family just got back from another fabulous trip to Tower Park Resort in Lodi, California. I was telling a friend that our family has been every year since 2018 (except for *ahem* 2020, but much like Bruno, we don’t talk about that). It is a trip that our whole family enjoys every year and I always recommend it to friends and family who are looking for a local getaway. Today I’m sharing three specific reasons why you should visit Tower Park Resort this summer. This post is in partnership with Tower Park Resort in Lodi, California. All opinions are my own.

3 Reasons to Visit Tower Park Resort this Summer.

what is Tower Park Resort?

Tower Park Resort is one of more than 75 Camp Jellystone locations across the United States and Canada. With inspiration from–you guessed it, Yogi Bear–Jellystone Park locations not only offer nostaligc fun for fans of the classic show, but activities and amenities the whole family will love. Each location is somewhat unique but you can always expect a camping (or glamping) experience that will bring your family together!

Tower Park Resort is currently the only Jellystone Park location on the west coast. Located on the California Delta Tower Park Resort is ideally situated to escape the Sacramento heat. At this fun family getaway you can find boat rentals, a water zone, planned activities, mini golf, laser tag, and so much more!

save gas by vacationing locally

It’s time to address the elephant in the room–gas is expensive y’all. Trust me, my family road trips everywhere–I know! Gas prices in California are especially scary. Which is why it’s so nice to have an amazing family-friendly travel destination less than an hour from Sacramento! Save the gas without skipping out on the fun!

escape the Sacramento heat

Yes, Lodi can get hot too. But the Delta breeze cools things off nicely in the evening. Meanwhile, during the day you can spend your time in one of the two pools, the lazy river, or the water zone. You can even rent a cabana (I recommend doing so ahead of time when you book your reservation) and stay cool in the shade between trips down the water slides.

get your kids off the screens

There’s just something special about Tower Park Resort. Yes, there are televisions in the cabins (and the cabanas if you rent one) but my kids love to spend their time their outside. Riding bikes, going to the playground and jumping pillow, making friends at nearby campsites… it’s so nice to see them being kids instead of glued to a screen during the summer.
