glamping tips for Tower Park Resort

plan at least 3 nights for your stay

Our family has stayed both two nights and three nights before. I definitely recommend staying at least three nights if you can. With so many amenities and activities planned throughout the day it’s a challenge to do everything you want to! We had a cabana rental on Saturday so we wanted to be sure to utilize the new Water Zone. It was awesome, but that also meant we missed some of the other activities we wanted to do. Luckily there’s always next time but it just reaffirmed in my mind that two nights is not enough! Of course, if you’re local you can also conveniently purchase day passes and visit over and over!

download the park app to keep updated

Something new to Tower Park Resort since our last visit is the Jellystone Park app. You can find this app in the Google Play Store or App Store on iPhone. Once you have the app downloaded you can search for your specific Jellystone Park location. Then you can look up the daily activities, park map, and more! This was really handy to have during our stay and I appreciate the paper it saves.

bring cash for some purchases

On previous visits we sometimes had issues trying to pay with cards. We made sure to bring cash this time just in case cash registers went down again. We were glad we did because we found out this visit that the ice cream shack only took cash. Some spots in the park only took card or payment through a particular app. Be prepared for anything when you’re there so you don’t have to miss out on shave ice, lunch from the Pic-a-Nic Basket, or a game of Lazer Tag!

don’t forget the cleaning supplies

If you’re staying in a cabin they are great, however, I suggest you bring a few cleaning supplies. A broom, sanitizing wipes, and door mat/rag towel will help keep the inside of your cabin clean during your stay. With all the trips to the new Water Zone you’ll be tracking in lots of dirt and water. Also, if you don’t add on a linen rental be sure to bring a bath mat and hand towels. (Linen rentals come with bed linens, pillows, and towels, so it’s very convenient to add-on to your stay!)

rent and reserve your add-ons ahead of time

When we arrived at check-in on Friday afternoon (4:00 pm for a cabin check-in) there were already signs up saying that golf cart rentals were sold out until Sunday. I also heard from some workers that cabanas for Saturday were all reserved. If there are any add-ons you want for your visit (linens, cabanas, golf carts, etc.) be sure you reserve when you’re initially booking your trip! I also recommend that if your kids want to do a paid activity that you reserve those upon arrival. Lazer Tag and bumper boats can fill up quickly depending on the time slot and you don’t want to miss out!
