With the spookiest day of the year coming up it’s the perfect time to put together a charcuterie board for Halloween. At first I thought I would gather yummy treats and candies, but then decided to challenge myself creatively and make a savory board featuring some Barilla products. charcuterie board for Halloween
I wanted to make something just as fun as the sweet charcuterie boards I’d seen that featured various Halloween props like skeletons and pumpkins. We have plenty of skeleton animals from a Halloween party a few years ago so I grabbed the eel. The eel skeleton fit perfectly on a tray I had and I was able to spread the different food items around it.
Ingredients I used:
- cherry tomatoes
- baby carrots
- meatballs
- hard cheese
- Barilla cheese tortellini
- French bread
- Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto
- Barilla Marinara

Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto and some Barilla Marinara were the perfect dipping sauces for this board. The pesto doesn’t need to be heated and was so delicious with the Barilla tortellini and fresh veggies dipped in. It also is the perfect creamy and savory topping for bread. You can smell and taste the Italian basil and fresh cheese with every bite!
