Friday in our house is always pizza and a movie night. Well, at least for the last several months it has been. Every week our whole family looks forward to enjoying some pizza while we watch something together. Sometimes we pick up a pizza, sometimes we make one, but just about every Friday evening you’ll find us eating off paper plates in our family room laughing at our television screen. Which seems really fitting because did you know that May 21st is Pizza Party Day? We all love Friday night because–first of all–we all love pizza! But I also love it because I don’t have to cook (if we buy it) and cleanup is minimal (even if we make our own). Family time can be so hard to come by sometimes, even over the past year some of us have had busier schedules than normal. Having an evening like this every week is a chance for us to slow down and enjoy time together.
For Friday evenings we make sure we have pizza, a special treat for dessert, and a movie we’ll all enjoy! Oftentimes for our movie pick we work our way through a series–find some movie marathon suggestions here! Sometimes we even set up a concession stand for the kids and they earn fake money to purchase their movie night treats. It’s the perfect thing to go along with a pizza party!
