our piñata baby gender reveal

I’m so excited to be sharing the gender of baby number five with y’all today! Although we didn’t have an official party with friends we did invite some family over and we Skyped with as many family members as we could for anyone who couldn’t make it. We knew that we wanted to do something fun for the kids so that those on Team Boy and those on Team Girl would be excited, no matter the outcome.

Of course, we experienced technical difficulties (right around :15 is where things start to go wrong) when first the zip tie broke that the rope was attached to, so hubby had to take over and hold our piñata for the rest of the time. Then we got to the very last ribbon that was pulled and what do you know, it didn’t break the piñata open so I had to resort to breaking it open with my bare hands. Actually, our first issue probably arose when I couldn’t wake baby girl up from her nap so she missed the festivities. In my defense, I tried really hard to wake her up. Luckily, she didn’t seem too upset about it when she saw her portion of the candy and toy haul.

We’re so excited to be welcoming another sweet little girl into our family. Although our son was hoping for a baby brother this time around he hasn’t really complained once and he loves his sisters so much Mike and I aren’t concerned at all. We’ve got some really great kids, if I do say so myself.
