It’s been awhile since I shared a hotel near Disneyland so I’m excited for this Element by Westin review today! We stayed at this family-friendly hotel over the New Year holiday when we visited Knott’s Berry Farm. It’s location is ideal for any Orange County family vacation, and it’s got lots of other great perks too! Although we paid for our own stay, some links contain affiliates, all opinions are my own.
Element by Westin Anaheim Resort Convention Center review
Our family has stayed at a lot of hotels in the Anaheim area over the years and we really enjoyed the Element by Westin. From the location to the large family-friendly suites, it’s easy to see why we would go back.
proximity to attractions
The Element by Westin Anaheim Resort Convention Center is located only a mile from Disneyland. They’re also conveniently located near a freeway off-ramp if you’re traveling to other locations in Orange County (like Knott’s Berry Farm). Its location makes it easy to get around, or enjoy all the Disneyland Resort has to offer. Some rooms even face the resort so you could see the Disneyland fireworks from your room!

family-friendly amenities at the Element by Westin
As a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel these accommodations are obviously designed with kids in mind. Their complimentary breakfast buffet is served in a large area and offers a variety of standard breakfast items the whole family will love, including hot options. The heated outdoor saltwater pool area also features a lot of outdoor seating with gas grills for guests to enjoy. We also really appreciated that they had underground parking in addition to their parking lot, as we all know that parking around the Disneyland Resort is at a premium!

room options and details
We stayed in a Kids’ Suite with two Queen beds, a sleeper sofa, and a bunk bed. They also offer smaller suites with different configurations. But all suites at the Element by Westin offer full kitchens with a mini fridge, stovetop, microwave, and traditional coffee maker (not a Keurig). It was really convenient to be able to make our own dinner one evening in our room when the kids were exhausted.
other things to mention
I checked out the Motion fitness center while we were there and it seemed well-appointed with both cardio machines and weight training options. This space is available 24 hours a day using your room key. The Element by Westin also offers bicycle and helmet rentals at the front desk!
Not only is a buffet breakfast included in your stay, but you can enjoy other drink and dining options as well. The Element by Westin Anaheim Resort Convention Center also offers a Relax Hour during the week where they advertise “bites and brews”, and a Rest Hour later on weeknights with “tasty treats”. Of course, if you need something outside of those hours you can pick up snacks and other travel essentials at the lobby Gift Shop by the front desk.
