The good news is, they’re gone because Disney plans awesome events throughout the year so there’s always something new and fun to see! Keep reading for all the important dates for Disneyland in 2024. Lunar New Year: January 22 – February 18, 2024
2024 is the Year of the Dragon and what better place to celebrate than Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year celebration? Mushu from Mulan will be the guest of honor at “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” in the park. You’ll also be able to enjoy limited specialty food from booths throughout the park, as well as seasonal entertainment. In addition to unique food and entertainment, you can also catch rare characters in the park for the event–like Oswald the rabbit. Click here for a menu of event foods.
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival: March 1 – April 22, 2024
Unique food and show experiences await attendees of the food and wine festival in Disney California Adventure. Keep in mind that the festival passes are an additional purchase on top of a valid park ticket (and park reservation), or a Magic Key Pass. The Food & Wine Festival features 12 specialty food booths, as well as offerings at select restaurants, Downtown Disney locations, and the hotels of the Disneyland Resort. There are also kid-friendly crafts and family-favorite shows, such as “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party”. All in all, it’s a great time for you to bring your little sous chef to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Season of the Force: April 5 – June 2, 2024
If you’re a fan of Star Wars then you’ll want to visit during Season of the Force. Not only will the fan favorite, Hyperspace Mountain make a comeback, but new surprises await. You’ll be able to enjoy specialty food and beverage and limited merchandise. Star Tours will also be debuting some new adventures in Tomorrowland. Love watching the fireworks from Galaxy’s Edge? We do! For those of you in the know about what a great spot it is, there’s a treat in store for you! During the fireworks presentation there will also be galactic music playing throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Pixar Fest: April 26 – August 4, 2024
The Disneyland Resort will be hosting Pixar Fest again in both parks and throughout the Downtown Disney District. In fact, the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel opens in January 2024! In Disneyland Park “Together Forever: A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” will light up the sky with fireworks on select nights and dazzle park guests with projections on other evenings. There is also a daytime parade and lots of fun character meet-and-greets at Disney California Adventure. Be sure to keep your eye open for limited time food and merchandise throughout the Disney Resort as well.
Halloween Time: August 23 – October 31, 2024
For some park guests, Halloween Time is the best time of year at the Disneyland Resort. If you’re among those numbers, keep these important dates for Disneyland because tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash will sell out fast. This is a separately ticketed event at Disney California Adventure that happens after hours. Even if you don’t score one of those highly coveted tickets, there’s plenty of spooky fun to be had. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout and Haunted Mansion get their ghoulish makeovers for Halloween. And of course, there are plenty of merchandise and goodies throughout the entire resort. Plaza de la Familia will also be returning to Disney California Adventure Park August 23 to November 2.

Holidays at Disneyland Resort: Begins November 15, 2024
The winter holidays are my favorite time at any theme park. The Christmas decor and seasonal treats throughout the Disneyland Resort make it the most festive way to celebrate the holidays! Enjoy fun ride overlays such as Haunted Mansion Holiday and Small World Holiday. There are also plenty of festive food and merry merchandise options in both parks and the Downtown Disney District. The fan-favorite Christmas Fantasy Parade has been delighting park guests for almost 30 years!

2024 important dates for Disneyland After Dark events
The Disneyland Resort also offers some specially themed nights that are separately ticketed events. These evenings usually sell out quickly and include among them:
- Sweethearts’ Nite: Jan. 23, 25, 30, Feb. 1, 6, 8, 12 & 14, 2024, at Disneyland Park
- Disney Channel Nite: Mar. 5 & 7, 2024, at Disneyland Park
- Star Wars Nite: April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, May 2, 7 & 9, 2024 at Disneyland Park
