According to social media everyone is excited for fall and back to school. I want to be very clear–this is not my reality. Sure, I could live without the triple digit heat, but I love the summer. Not to mention that the time with my kiddos is even more precious since we’re not currently a homeschool family. But I digress. Today’s post isn’t about my sadness that summer vacation is coming to an end. Today’s post is actually about how to make a super easy and super cute DIY apple garland. I’ve even teamed up with my crafty friends from Team Creative Crafts again to bring you a plethora of back to school crafts. So, if you’re ready for all things fall and school and apples keep reading and check out all the fun ideas! Links may contain affiliates, all opinions are my own.

make your own DIY apple garland

Since I’m not ready to be in fall or school mode at all I was really struggling with the prompt this month. However, apples seemed like a nice, subtle segue into fall and school. Who doesn’t love apples? It’s also a bonus that I realized that I don’t have very many back to school decorations, or even fall decorations that aren’t pumpkins or leaves. Making an apple garland for our mantel seemed like a perfect idea!

You know I love all things simple and this is definitely a naptime craft. I chose to make my DIY apple garland with alternating painted apples and torn book page apples.
