4 super bowl activities for kids during the Super Bowl

worksheets

I have a couple kiddos that are completely content to just sit and draw for long periods of time. My son especially loves fun worksheets like mazes or word searches. I’ve created two different worksheets for your kids to enjoy on Super Bowl Sunday. Another art activity I like to do sometimes is just ask them to draw a picture of what they’re seeing on screen–I’m always so impressed by what they do!

Football Worksheets

pennants

These pennants are a simple craft project your kiddos can do pregame or during the action. Just print up the paper pennants, color in the words with your team colors, and glue them onto paper straws or small dowels. Your kids can use them to cheer their team on or as fun photo props with friends!

Sports Pennants

commercial bingo

Let’s be honest–some people are only watching the Super Bowl for the commercials. So why not have some fun with it and play commercial Bingo? Simply fill out the blank Bingo cards with things you might typically see in a Super Bowl commercial–a supermodel, a talking animal, etc. Then when you see one of those things you can color in your square or cover with a piece of candy. Add an extra element by making everyone write in what the commercial was actually advertising.

Super Bowl Bingo

keyword game

I’ve already shared the keyword game before in a different setting. However, you’ll find that this is a fun (and delicious) activity for the whole family to enjoy for most televised events! We tend to be pretty quiet viewers at our house, but I know some fans can get quite loud. Just add subtitles to the game and this becomes an even better activity for emerging readers!
