“I heard the bells on Christmas Day their old, familiar carols play, and wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
Henry Wadsworth Longsfellow
Something that my family loves doing at this time of year is putting together plates of treats for our friends and neighbors. It’s such a simple way to spread a little sweetness at this time of year and who doesn’t like a plate of treats showing up at their doorstep?
The correct answer is no one.
Except for maybe Scrooge. You know, pre-the whole “meeting the ghosts of Christmases past, present, and future” thing.
I typically switch up the holiday goodies I make every year depending on what I’m in the mood for. Sometimes I make a huge batch of meringues, sometimes it’s fudge, and sometimes it’s a variety. Whatever we put together though, my kiddos love taking the treats around in the days leading up to Christmas. If you’d like to spread a little sweetness too then I’ve included a free treat tag printable that you can use here!
I don’t know what it is about the holiday season but it just seems so much easier to be kind. Everyone from Tiny Tim to the largest corporation is in the giving spirit and Real California Milk is no different. Have you ever noticed the Real California Milk seal on your favorite dairy products? Well, this year Real California Milk started a campaign called Seals for Good that’s not only helping families affected by the hurricanes in Texas and Florida, but is also supporting those people dealing with the aftermath of the recent wildfires in northern California–something that certainly hit home for me.
How does the #SealsForGood campaign work and how can you help?
Now through 12/31 look for your favorite dairy products with the Real California Milk seal on it while you’re out shopping for all your baking and holiday meal essentials. Take a picture and share it on Facebook or Instagram using #SealsForGood (don’t forget to tag the brand!) and Real California Milk will donate $5 to the Great American Milk Drive (up to $20K in TX/FL and $10K in CA) to help communities in need in CA, TX and FL. No purchase is necessary.
