Something that my family loves doing at this time of year is putting together plates of treats for our friends and neighbors. Offering our loved ones “sweetest wishes” is such a simple way to spread a little love at this time of year. Plus. who doesn’t like a plate of treats showing up at their doorstep? The correct answer is no one. Well, except for maybe Scrooge. You know, pre-the whole “meeting the ghosts of Christmases past, present, and future” thing. I typically switch up the holiday goodies I make every year depending on what I’m in the mood for. Sometimes I make a huge batch of meringues, sometimes it’s fudge, and sometimes it’s a variety of cookies. Whatever we put together though, my kiddos love taking the treats around in the days leading up to Christmas. If you’d like to spread a little sweetness too then I’ve included a free treat tag printable that you can download below!

“I heard the bells on Christmas Day their old, familiar carols play, and wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on earth, good-will to men!” ~Henry Wadsworth Longsfellow

These “sweetest wishes” gift tags are the perfect thing to attach to your favorite holiday recipe. Print them on colored paper, or have your children make them unique and colorful! Just package them up in plain kraft containers, glass mason jars, or even in simple baggies. Personally, I always like to keep packaging like this on hand. 1. I love packaging things for people! You can give someone something that doens’t cost a lot at all but the packaging makes that person feel super special! I LOVE baking and giving all kinds of goodies around the holidays 🙂

  2. I have to really watch myself when it comes to baking goodies for the holidays because I could probably make something new every day! (My husband is not as much of a baked goods person as I am, poor soul *wink*) But I do love to make these oreo peppermint crunch cookies that are AMAZING as well as some orange cranberry cookies rolled in sugar. Yum… 🙂
