Happy Friday friends! You’re probably well aware by now that I’ve been preparing for my baby sister’s wedding (next week!) and as part of that I helped throw her a bridal shower. As she was opening up her gifts that our generous friends and family had gifted her I realized that her kitchen colors were the same as mine! The funny thing is, I didn’t actually pick the main color for our kitchen décor. This post contains affiliate links but all opinions are completely my own!

A little over 10 years ago as Mike and I were registering for our wedding gifts we were having a great time and were on the same page about pretty much everything (aka–Mike just let me make most of the decisions); until it came to the Kitchen-Aid stand mixer.

Me: “Oh…. look at that pretty blue one! And the green! OHMYGOSH I love the green!”

Mike: “I like the red one.”

Me: “Oh, yeah, that’s nice I guess…”

An hour or so later we walked out of the store after having scanned not only the red Kitchen-Aid, but also every red dish towel and measuring cup in that place.

At least, that’s pretty much the way I remember it, more or less.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Kitchen-Aid and I realize now that the color doesn’t really matter since it lives in our cupboard most of the time; but red is not the color I would have picked for my kitchen. Over the years I’ve embraced the red, I’ve added it to more areas of our home and started accenting with different colors like navy and turquoise (which I do love) and I really like the way it all works together, red really is such a warm and inviting color! So today I’m sharing with you some of my favorite red accent pieces for your home. Some of these are things that I really do have and love in my home, other pieces are just things that I’m currently drooling over.
