Simplifying your gift giving with groupon goods

I am becoming increasingly more and more aware that I can’t do everything. Not only do I not have the time with four little ones running around everywhere all the time, but I’m trying to refocus the time that I do have and make sure I’m making the most of it. That’s really what my Simplifying the Season series has been about, not just doing less, but actually having more by doing less. Having more time, having more peace, having more joy, having more meaningful experiences… it’s something that has been making a small impact on my life this holiday season and I hope to continue with it in the new year. This blog post is sponsored by Groupon. As always, all opinions are completely my own.

I think that any busy parent, actually, any busy person, would tell you that the advent of online shopping has definitely changed their lives. It seems like every store has an online presence nowadays (including yours truly, ahem) so finding the perfect gift is in some ways easier than ever.

I’ve been a fan of Groupon for several years now, but recently I discovered Groupon Goods. You’re probably well aware that Groupon offers special discounted rates to all sorts of experiences–from shows to restaurants. But, with Groupon Goods you can also get some awesome last-minute deals on gifts for everyone left on your list (by the way, Christmas and Chanukah are less than two weeks away, what are you waiting for?!). Groupon literally has thousands of gifts in every category from toys to home décor to sports.

So if you need me I’ll be browsing for any last-minutes gifts that I do need from the comfort of my own home, in my pair of fluffy slippers, sipping on some Mexican hot chocolate whilst I listen to Christmas carols playing softly in the background…

…okay. I’ll actually be browsing between gulping down my giant vat of diet soda and telling my child not to drink the tree water for the umpteenth time with PBS Kids blaring in the background. Either way, I’m shopping in my pajamas and I call that a win

But doesn’t the first scenario make for a much nicer image?

What about you, how is your holiday shopping coming along? Have you ever utilized the great deals found on Groupon Goods?
