homemade ice cream cake

This ice cream cake is made from just 3 ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes! Easily customize the flavors too!

Ingredients

  • whipped topping, I use a non-diary whipped topping I make fresh. Any type of whipped topping will work.
  • ice cream sandwiches
  • loaf cake, sliced
  • sprinkles, optional

Instructions

  1. In a deep dish, lay out unwrapped ice cream sandwiches to cover the bottom. Cover with a layer of whipped topping.

  2. Lay slices of loaf cake on top of the whipped topping. Spread more whipped topping on the cake layer. Put small chunks of cake in the empty spaces to create a solid layer.

  3. Finish off with another layer of whipped topping and add sprinkles on top if desired.

  4. Place in freezer to firm up. Then slice up and enjoy when you're ready! If it's too frozen and you're having trouble cutting it warm up your knife under hot water first.
