24ozgood quality milk chocolate chips2 regualar bags or 1 large bag
12 ozorange colored baking chips, divided
12ozcaramel flavored baking chips
1 tspsalt
1tsporange extract(optional)
Instructions
In a medium saucepan over low heat stir together 1 1/2 cans of caramel sweetened condensed milk and milk chocolate chips. Continuously stir so it doesn't burn or lump. Remove from heat and add in 1/2 tsp of salt.
At the same time, in a second medium saucepan over low heat, stir together 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, caramel chips, and 1/2 of the orange baking chips. Continuously stir so it doesn't burn or lump. Remove from heat and add in 1/2 tsp of salt.
Pour milk chocolate into a buttered 9 x 13" pan, then cover with caramel layer.
Melt the remaining orange colored chips in the microwave according to package directions. If you are planning on using orange extract, add in once the orange baking chips are melted and smooth. Drizzle over the caramel layer and run a knife through the top to marbleize fudge.
Allow to cool and harden, placing in the refrigerator for a few hours will speed up the process.
Recipe Notes
To cut down on the richness of this fudge you could replace some or all of the milk chocolate with semi-sweet chocolate. If you are going to do that, start with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and add more as needed.
