As I sit here writing this post, let me just say that it has been a long day. Scratch that, a long week. Erm, several weeks. I don’t think I’m overstating when I say that this momma needs a break. Unfortunately, breaks are in short supply around here. So when there’s no break in sight, sometimes a cupcake loaded with frosting has to do. Often eaten quickly in a quiet room with a locked door. Don’t worry, I won’t judge. Whether you eat your treats in public view like a civilized person, or hunched in a corner of your closet, I think you’ll love this brown sugar maple frosting recipe!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years on this earth, it’s that there are two types of people. There are frosting people, and there are cake people. Well, and there’s the people that like both. So, I guess there are three types of people. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I know not everyone is into frosting. However, let me just say that this brown sugar maple buttercream might just change all you anti-frosting people around.

This brown sugar maple buttercream is so delicious and just sweet enough. If the fall season were a creamy, sugary concoction, this would be it. It is the perfect companion to chocolate, and to any bad day. Why not whip some up this weekend with the kids and take some treats to the neighbors? Or hoard it all for yourself. Again, no judgement here!
