Hello friend, I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far! I feel like this summer is flying by but somehow I’ve still made time to cross three books off my Summer reading list. I’m actually working on the fourth one right now but I’m struggling a bit–I’m not 100% sure that I like it or not. However, I’m typically the type of person that must finish a book once they’ve started so I’m sure I’ll push through. There are some books I absolutely love though and they’re books your kids will love too! This post contains affiliate links, but as always, all opinions are completely my own.

Recently I was at the library and found a Choose Your Own Adventure book and strolled down Memory Lane. Long afternoons spent wandering around the library while I was growing up came flooding back to me. Do you remember those books? I knew that my kids were too young to read it on their own. However, I figured that they would enjoy being read to and getting to pick their own path in the stories.

How to teach your children about kindness.

Spoiler alert–I was right. The kiddos had a campout in the backyard a few nights ago and Mike read some Choose Your Own Adventure to them. He said that even though they died pretty fast (in the story, that is!) they loved it and wanted to read more. This got me to thinking–what other books do I miss from my childhood? Because I bet my kids would love them too! Remember that my taste in books is quite eclectic so no judging!
