Hello friends! I hope that all my American friends had a great fourth of July and that everyone is having a wonderful week so far!
I feel like this summer is flying by but somehow I’ve still made time to cross three books off my Summer reading list! I’m actually working on the fourth one right now but I’m struggling a bit, I’m not 100% sure that I like it or not. However, I’m typically the type of person that must finish a book once they’ve started so I’m sure I’ll push through.
The last time I was at the library I stumbled across a Choose Your Own Adventure book and all of a sudden long afternoons spent wandering around the library while I was growing up came flooding back to me. Do you remember those books? I knew that my kids were too young to read it on their own, but I figured that they would really enjoy being read to and getting to pick their own path in the stories.
Spoiler alert–I was right. The kiddos had a campout in the backyard a few nights ago and Mike said that even though they died pretty fast (in the story, that is!) they loved it and wanted to read more. This got me to thinking–what other books do I miss from my childhood that I can’t wait to introduce to my own children? Remember that my taste in books is quite eclectic so no judging!
What were some of your favorite books when you were growing up?
