I have a great love for wooden toys—from a practical standpoint they’re incredibly sturdy and long-lasting. From an aesthetic standpoint, they’re so much more beautiful sitting on a shelf (or littered across the floor, as is generally the case in my house). Today I’ve compiled  a great list of the best wooden toys for littles. So whether you’re searching for a stocking stuffer for a newborn or a busy toy for your toddler, there’s something perfect on this list for you! This post is sponsored by The Baby Cubby. As always, all opinions are completely my own.

As I’m striving towards simplifying this holiday season (be sure to check out Monday’s blog post) one thing I’m so thankful for is that I always start my shopping early. Even so, there always seem to be some last minute gift needs (like stocking stuffers!) that pop up and that’s also when I’m so thankful for online shopping. I am convinced that online shopping was invented by a busy mom, right?!

One site I’ve discovered recently is The Baby Cubby (they also have a brick and mortar store in Lindon, Utah, which is where my brother-in-law’s family lives so I can’t wait to check it out next time we’re visiting) and I think it’s become my new favorite shop for all things baby! They’ve done their research and compiled all the best products for mom and baby in one spot so you don’t have to spend hours and hours researching the best of everything yourself (who has the time?). Not only that, but they have a blog full of great articles on any baby-related subject you can think of! It was easy to find some wonderful gift ideas on their site—several of them from brands I already love!

Darth Vader Teether // I saw this teether from Little Sapling toys and I fell in love! It’s the ideal size for a stocking stuffer for your littlest elf and the perfect addition to any Star Wars-loving house.

Spruce Tree Bookcase // I am a firm believer in that you can never have enough books, but where to put all of them?! Books tend to litter the floor of our house the majority of the time, but maybe with this adorable bookshelf the kids wouldn’t mind picking them up once in awhile.

Age Blocks // Have you seen these fun blocks on Instagram yet? I’ve been a fan for awhile and think something like this would be the perfect present for a new little one and for momma!

State Rattle // I love the quality of products from Bannor Toys and these state rattles are no exception. I also love the different colors you can get the discs in to really personalize it for your little one.

Roller // I think this roller would be so fun for any little scooter who is just learning to crawl. Rolling it across the floor or having your little one push it in front of themselves would be great for helping to encourage movement—if you’re sure you want to do that, wink wink.

My First Camera // I don’t know about you, but my kiddos love trying to get their hands on my camera or phone. I’m not sure what is so fascinating about them, but I love this cute wooden option that has a kaleidoscope viewfinder for your kids to look through!

Ride on Bike // What kid doesn’t like to be as mobile as possible? This pintsized bike is perfect for the pre-bikers in your household, and the small size means they can scoot around inside too if the weather is bad.

Magnetic Maze // My son loves mazes of all kinds, but I love that this option doesn’t involve a paper and pencil, plus it can be played over and over!

Star Magnifier // All of my kids are obsessed with magnifying glasses and I love that this one is so cute and almost looks like a magic wand! This would make such a cute stocking stuffer for the budding fairy princess scientist in your house (that’s a thing, right?!).

42 Piece Block Set // I love getting toys for my kids that they can create with over and over. Blocks are always a favorite for hours of imaginative play in our house and I love the bright colors in this set.

Tie-Up Shoe // This cute little shoe makes the perfect stocking stuffer for your little guy or gal that’s learning to tie their shoe. Gotta love a toy that helps your little cuties learn something new!

Master Workbench // How great would this fun workbench look sitting underneath your tree Christmas morning? Not only would your future carpenter have loads of fun, but it would look beautiful in your house too.
